Voice Of The Young

We are the young
We are the neediest young in this wealthy world
but we need no racism and oppression

we need no politicians.... but a good citizen
we need no election ...
but our parents back from the prison
we need no press conference......
but a pen to write our heart out

we need no diplomacy....
but a man that we can trust
we need no "Dialogue"....
but a sympathetic word to our feelings
we need no third countries..
but our own land to live with dignity

we need no campaign
but a song to sing together freely
we need no "Disciplined Democracy"
but the students back in school
we need no more army trucks.........
but an access to higher education

we need no new Prime Minister
but a small Primary school for our younger brothers
We need no sanction or intervention
but our lives back in our own hands

we need no credential challenge
but an evening together with our families
we need no Gambary
but our people who are at ready
We need no shoulder to cry on......
but another neediest young to be together

Because we are the neediest young
The neediest young with the fullest heart
With no bullets, holding no guns
but an honest heart inside
We will survive.
To fight for freedom !

written by Tristan.

We will never forget where we are from
We will never forget how hard our ancestors tried to get our nation back on our own hands
We will never forget how much blood and sweat had sacrificed
To live with pride... for our people.

We will never forget how our Aung San was honest
We will never forget those who shrouding Burma's dignity and beauty
With the horrific deeds and devilish Dictatorship !
We will never forget those who sacrificed for us
And those who devote their lives for others

We will never forget those strangers
those who cried when our people cried
For whose tear drops convince us to believe the
real existence of the silver line around the dark clouds

We therefore must fight for the silver line
Come hell or high water ! We will fight !
We will fight against the dark clouds

We will fight .................
For those who are weak
For those who are innocent
For those who has been suffering because of having a kind heart inside
For those who are in bereavement
For those who are unable to speak truth!
For those people of our country
For those people of this complex blue moon
For our family ...and for others' family

We will never never never give up !

Burma is a country where lovely people live under brutal and shameless government!

When the children cry

Knowledge Zone Announancement

Knowledge Zone is a learning center which has no political activities nor has a relationship with any Burmese Political organizations from Mae Sot or from any other places. Here we officially announce that U.Janaka is no more the committee member in Knowledge Zone nor we have no relationship with him and Knowledge Zone is no more under umbrella of ABMA ( All Burma Monks Alliance ). Recent ten permanent teachers and three volunteers are running the school.

Background Information

Our independence father of Burma, General Aung San and the former UN. Secretary General, U Thant.

Background Information about Mae Sot which our learning center based on

Almost everyday, people are fleeing from Burma to Thailand because of political, religious, military and racial oppressions committed by SPDC in Burma, not to mention the hundreds of economic migrants fleeing everyday for Thailand. According to the local statistics we found that people, who fled from Burma because of above reasons and discrimination, didn't know the problems and difficulties that they are going to face in Mae Sot as refugees. In fact, most of the people who fled from Burma didn't know anything about the real situation that they are going to live with.

Many new arrivals have no shelter to live in - no advocacy organizations to welcome them warmly - no relatives and no close friends to advice them, but the Thai police trying to arrest them to deport them back. For the political prisoners and deserters, it appears to be a nightmare for them when they are being neglected and denied by their partners who preceded them in Mae Sot. Almost every refugees in Mae Sot is desperately suffering from fear, depression, mental pain, confusion, loneliness and cultural shock under uncertain condition in here. Inability to speak Thai is also a problem for the clients. When around 350 Burmese illegal migrants are being arrested and deported back to Burma, it’s so sure for the Burmese illegal migrants with no documents who can’t speak in Thai to be arrested if they are stopped by Thai police or immigration officers. There are many of Thai authorized groups who can arrest Burmese illegal people in Mae Sot such as Thai police, soldiers, Taw Maw (Immigration officers), Taw Chawdaw (Borderline soldiers).

When there’s no particular CBOs or NGOs for the new arrivals here, they have many difficulties to survive as urban refugees as they, in fear of Thai policemen, dare not go out freely for work. Some are living in the plantation area near Mae Sot to avoid police and are working as daily workers earning 30 B to 60 B a day. Moreover, besides physical needs, mental health and needs are the fundamental issue for the political refugees to solve. In such current condition, some of the Burmese migrants and political exiles are being outraged and beaten or are stabbed by the Thai street men occasionally at night time. Even under those circumstances and situations, the waves of migrants and political exile from Burma in Mae Sot area never seem to dwindle, since SPDC is using more oppressive and brutal dictatorship towards Burma citizens and is worsening the country's economic plight by mismanagement and the corruptions of the high rank army officers.
